Hair Care Guide
Expert tips from Tara to keep your hair looking flawless
Caring for Your Human Hair Wig
Human hair wigs require the same care and attention as your natural hair. Proper maintenance extends the life of your wig significantly and keeps it looking salon-fresh.
Washing
- Wash your wig every 7-10 wears, or when product buildup is noticeable
- Use sulfate-free shampoo and lukewarm water only
- Gently work shampoo through the hair in a downward motion — never scrub in circles
- Rinse thoroughly until water runs completely clear
- Follow with a moisturizing conditioner, avoiding the roots/knots
Drying
- Gently squeeze out excess water — never wring or twist the hair
- Pat dry with a microfiber towel
- Air dry on a wig stand whenever possible
- If using a blow dryer, use low heat with a diffuser attachment
- Never sleep with wet hair or a wet wig
Styling
- Always apply a heat protectant before using hot tools
- Use a temperature no higher than 350°F (176°C)
- Start with a wide-tooth comb on the ends and work upward to detangle
- Store your wig on a wig stand or in a silk bag when not wearing
- Avoid sleeping in your wig without a silk bonnet or pillowcase
Lace Front Care
- Use alcohol-free adhesive remover to lift the lace — never pull
- Clean the lace with 91% isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab after removal
- Allow the lace to dry completely before reapplying
- Avoid getting the glue wet for at least 24 hours after application

- Argan oil or coconut oil for moisture and shine
- Silk or satin bonnet for sleeping
